the fine art (misery) of pattern writing…

UPDATE:
The Romantic Fingerless Glove Pattern is now available in my etsy shop!!!
YAY!!!

I’ve jotted, scribbled, written, scratched, noted and painfully re-written this pattern to death.
To the point where I could care less if I ever write another pattern again in my entire life.

But at the same time, there’s something satisfying and liberating about this accomplishment.
This is a first for me. I worked hard on it and regardless of my sphincter-like tendencies, I even allowed a blog friend who designs her own patterns to slowly and painfully dissect it as if it were a science experiment.

And I am forever in her debt, for doing so. She is a dear. And I’ve made up a special package to send her for all of her help. Things I know she will get great use out of.

Moving on from my morbid fear of creative critique, I finally have the pattern perfected and you will see it shortly over in my shop. I just have several hundred a few photos to add to the layout.
And I’m still going back and forth with the price. I’m torn between ($5, 5.50, 5.75, 6, 6.25 and $6.50) Alot of blood, sweat and tears went into this project. You’re paying for a small slice of my soul. 😉

What would you be willing to pay for a glove pattern? (Given that you knew how to crochet.)
