badge of honor…

you may have noticed on your right, I now carry a very special badge.

“Rockin’ Girl Blogger”

I was nominated by sweet Claudia.
I think Claudia is my very first “official” reader of my blog. she is the first one to have linked to my humble little blog, in it’s beginning.

I’d like to think it has blossomed since then. it started out as just a respite for me to go and talk about the things I enjoy doing.
the things “I” enjoy doing.
not the things I “end up doing”, such as laundry, dishes and feeding three hungry piranhas.

but every single part of my life manages to ooze it’s way into my daily getaway.
and I don’t mind it.
it’s how it should be.

now, back to this wonderfulness that is Rockin’ Girl Blogger.
It seems as if I have the duty of passing the torch on to five deserving ladies.

so I shall.

i hate laundry
I think Galadriel is such a great mom. she inspires me to be more of a free spirit with my children and to not take everything so seriously. each adventure she encounters with her little ones seems like a fairytale that she’s telling you. and it’s so inviting.
I also feel a bond with her because we’re the same age, have both been married seven years and have three little ones. (goosebumps!)

apples on a stick Heather is so sweet. her blog is one of the first ones I go to each day. she writes from her heart and doesn’t keep anything back.
I also think she is hugely talented. I love all the things she creates. they are so inspiring.

Jennifer is another sweetheart who visited my blog in it’s toddlerhood. she emails me whenever I comment on her blog and makes me feel very appreciated with her kind words. I think she has the most precious set of twin girls EVER! and I know she treasures them deeply.
she is also gigantically talented. all her patchwork is so original and always beautiful.

I met Richelle when she married the boy I grew up with. I knew him since we were tweens and when I was introduced to his new wife, I knew I had found a “kindred spirit”. we were pregnant at the same time with our firstborn’s (and only daughter’s). and now, our girls are like two peas in a pod. apparently, the kindred spirit carries to the next generation.
I was so excited when Richelle jumped on the blog-wagon too. she has such great stories to tell.
I also enjoy seeing all the beautiful creations she works so hard on.

margot athena

I left Margot’s blog for last because I just wanted to let her mommy squirm, wondering why I hadn’t tagged her!
no, not really. it’s because out of all these tagged blogs, I have a very close attatchment to this one. Margot is my beautiful little niece. and her mommy is my husband’s little sister.
when I first met Lauren, I fell in love with her. she is honest and funny and cares for all the people in her life. I also think she has one keeper of a husband. he dotes on her and their daughter just the way two princesses should be doted upon.

I wish I could continue tagging because there are so many more bloggers that I think totally rock!

but you know who you are, ladies. I have you all tagged already because you’re right there on my blogroll, that I read on a regular basis.

you are all what make it so fun and enjoyable to keep blogging each and every day.
you all deserve a badge of honor.

  2. That was so beautiful, Kalurah!

I am honored to be a “Rockin’ Mom” and still maintain the only reason I am doing so well with my own child is from the amazing, inspiring, caring examples I look up to in our family.

I love your blog and am a daily reader – please keep making me laugh, cry and smile!

  3. aww! thanks Kalurah you’re pretty sweet yourself. your previous post reminded me of Diego when he was that age and he would take a crayon, hold it against the wall and run like crazy!… yeah… that wasn’t very fun to clean…

  4. How did I miss this post? Congratulations! Thanks so much for such a sweet write up about me and mine. I’m all goosebumps and emotional now.
