okay, we’re going to be taking a little break from the latest “what’s the grossest thing I can write about today?” trend in my blog.
I sat on my computer this evening, looking through photos and had to just slap myself right upside the head.
I realized that I never told you all about my super fantabulous cousin and best friend who came up to do the painting in our new place.
she was here for 4 days and almost every one of them was spent high up on a chair or crunched down in a corner, painting her heart out on someone else’s walls.
what’s more, I didn’t even have everything ready for her.
there was paint I hadn’t even bought yet. colors I hadn’t made up my mind on and rooms I hadn’t even cleaned yet.
she poured her blood, sweat (and tears, I’m sure) into a job that she didn’t even get paid to do.
she is by far, the kindest, most giving friend I’ve had.
a type of friend I strive to someday become.
loyal.
giving.
honest.
true.
after spending last week painting Zach’s room and the downstairs bathroom and then finally Zoe’s room this week, I have even more appreciation for her.
and I cannot forget my auntie-poo.
she painted all the baseboards and trim in my living room and dining room.
and also got her hands dirty, cleaning the bathroom tub and some other things that have, at present, escaped me totally.
Maija and Jacqlin
I hope you both know just how wonderful I think you are.
One response to “wonderfulness…”
My eye’s wailed up as I read what you had to say about me. Thank you so much for the kind words.
I loved every single minute I spent helping you paint! I’d do it all over again!
Now let me thank you for being one of the best friends i’ll ever have.
