we’re back.
oh, sweet relief. we’re back.
I don’t know how much more of this I could handle. just when I thought I was stretched as thin as I could be, my family pulled me just a little further.
Zoe decided she could not be left out and started throwing up Friday night.
she ran a fever off and on and by Sunday afternoon, she just wanted to sleep.
but today, glorious today, Zach has kept everything down for 2 whole days, Zoe is better and Zander is his rowdy, rambunctious self again.
what a test of love.
did I pass?
I dare say I did!
I think if I can look into the eyes of that “person” who totally redecorated the bathroom and bedroom sheets, and still have the same amount of love for that “other person” who tried to repurpose my couch and flood the upstairs bathroom, clearly then, I have come a long way as a mother.
I have seen the very lowest depths of my family’s dark places and I still want to be around them.
I will still take care of them even when they’re healthy.
and I’ll do it now with a big, dumb happy grin on my face.
because this time, I only have to do 3 or 4 loads of laundry this week and not 12!
I can feed them breakfast and they won’t procede to throw it up all over the dining room floor, bathroom and post office.
now, I’m just breaking up fights between my very healthy children who finally regained all their energy and are severely behind on their “let’s see how far we can push mom today?” list.
I’m just so glad to be back.

glad to read things are getting back to normal in your new home : )
Happy day! I always find myself acting like a saint when things are really bad but losing it like a jerk at the smallest annoyances. I need a big dose of don’t sweat the small stuff stuffed into my heart.
I’m so happy that you are all well!
