seven is prime…

happy 7th anniversary...

it just occured to me, today…I never posted the day trip my husband and I took for our 7 year wedding anniversary. I keep telling myself I will sit down and create a scrapbook of our special day together. but, alas I just don’t have the time or creative energy.

so, I’ll just create an online scrapbook, instead! If you click on the blue underlined links, some of them will open a slideshow of more photos. 🙂

here we go….

our drive up the gorge began bright and early. we decided to go up the Washington side of the gorge for a change of scenery.

the sternwheeler was making it’s way down the gorge, so I snapped a photo.
queen of the west...

the first place on our list was Maryhill Museum and Sam Hill’s replica of Stonehenge.

Maryhill museum...

the museum was chock-full of treasures. we could easily have spent all day in there!
my absolute favourite exhibit was Theatre de la Mode.

the museum also had some impressive local artist’s sculptures out on display in the gardens.

two peas in a pod...

we also enjoyed the beautiful resident peacocks roaming the gardens.

after the museum, we headed to Hood River for lunch at our favorite chinese place, Hood River Restaurant. (not a very Chinese name, is it?)
but they have the absolute BEST sweet and sour sauce on the planet.(and I’m part Japanese, people!)

after lunch, we headed to Multnomah Falls.

after trekking up the glorious falls, we drove on the old historic Columbia Gorge Highway, to take in it’s lushness, on our way to the Vista House at Crown Point.

by the time we got home, we were exhausted and ready to fall asleep in our child free bed (since my folks were kind enough to keep the gremlins for the night).

I couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate our anniversary together.except maybe if we’d thought ahead to book a hotel on the gorge!

I love you hun. before you know it, we’ll be celebrating our tenth! time flies when your having fun!

  1. Great photos all around! I’ve hiked those falls twice, I only made it all the way to the top once!

And you my dear, are so beautiful! Congrats on the 7 years!
