You’ve come a long way, baby…

MusicPlaylist

It’s been a long, rough year for you, little brother. To kick off your summer, you were hospitalized and diagnosed with a chronic disease.

All the while, much to my amazement, you have managed to juggle your new health condition and your studies.

And because of your hard work and endurance, you’ve made it.

You’re graduating.

Looking back on the past 19 years of being your big sister, I can think of so many milestones and fond memories.

There was your first girlfriend….

Your first driving lesson….

And your very first job….

Not to mention, your fine example of industriousness….

And then, I’m reminded of your fabulous eye for fashion….

It is also rumored that there was the occasional degree of relentless torture ensued upon you….

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

I plead the fifth. I swear.

But through it all, you managed to keep your sense of humor…..

See!
Anyway, I made up for it, didn’t I?

There. All better.

Congrats, little bro~

I love you someth’n awful!

  1. How am I supposed to read and enjoy this post while crying?! We are all so proud of this young man for all he’s accomplished over the past 10 years dealing with his lousy immune system and trying to complete school. It continues to amaze me.
P.S. You were a spectacular big sister, you know! You probably appreciate now that you’re a mom, all the help you gave me with him.

  2. Come to think of it we did put our little bro through some horrendous stuff (well for boys anyway). But I take but nothing back, it made him the person he is today! -Keisha

  3. Congrats to him! Sounds like there’s some honest affection between you:)

  4. I was surprised to see Brooke as his first “girlfriend”. So cute. I loved the one of him as a baby in the enormous cowboy boots. 🙂

  5. Congrats to your brother. Those pictures were priceless. We should all be tortured so lovingly…and fashionably.
