Experience Washington contacted me yesterday regarding the two photos above. The nice woman who contacted me said they were interested in licensing the two photos for a year.
In which time, they may use them in some of their tourism advertising, website, pamphlets, etc.
They even offered payment for the two photos. Wow! My first “paying” gig!
Another biggie for me, I made my first Photography sale in my etsy shoppe! I sold three prints to a very lovely girl, who emailed me prior to her purchase to ask for help with choosing the third photograph.
I have to admit, I was getting a little discouraged over not selling any prints since I listed some back in April.
But this past week has lifted my creative spirits and now I’m inspired to open another shoppe on etsy, devoted to just my Photography!
I will keep you all filled in on the details, and I think you should probably expect some celebratory giveaways, as well! ๐

Gigantic cyber-bouquets to congratulate you!!! How wonderful!
Congratulations. This is amazing–as are the photographs.
Congratulations! I’ve always known you were an excellent photographer and now we have proof. You have a beautiful family and a beautiful home town for subjects as well.
I am totally surprised that this was your first photo gig. Your work is amazing. I imagine it is just the first of many ๐

Way to go. I’m so happy for you. This is the first of many I’m sure. It just takes getting your name out there.
Thanks, ladies!! You are so sweet!
Shell,
And if I can’t manage to get my name out there, I know YOU have my back! I swear, you were like my own live, personal “business card” when we were in the Bead Shop yesterday! ๐
You are such a sweet friend!!
The congratulations are well deserved, the photographs are all gorgeous! I especially love the TTV pampas grass.
SQUEEE how exciting!
The first photo looks like the vineyards that my grandparents have.
