bring it on, winter…

it’s certainly chillier out there these days but not quite to the point where I don’t feel like I look ridiculous wearing my winter gloves.

last fall, I wore my vintage car coat that has 3/4 length sleeves and when I did wear gloves with it, I still had a patch on my wrists that was bare. (and therefore chilly.)
so I made my own fingerless gloves for this non-defined ‘tween season.

they have a long wrist so they keep your forearm nice and warm. but they’re fingerless to allow you to still use your hands with ease.

I developed my own pattern with this adorable buckle and vintage button embellishment.

this pair in oatmeal will be up in the shop later today.

I’d love some feedback on these, as well. what colors are your favorites?
are there any fall/winter items you would like to see in my shop?

p.s Zoe took the top picture! I thought she did an excellent job! she looked so adorable squinting into the viewfinder of my ginormous Nikon DSL! (I think I have a little photographer in the making!)

  1. I was totally wowed by that first shot! Unbelievable it was done by a protege. Excellent eye!

  2. Oh how I miss you. These are so cute. I think I showed you all those that I was doing last year for my sister. I never put a strap and button on them, hmmmm! I will have to try that for my pair, that will be stolen before I can get the hook out (the very reason I can not possibly have a shop.)
    We need to get together.

Oh, and there is nothing quite as special as having a little helper with a good eye…Good work, Zoe!

  8. Oh, these are GREAT! I’d love them in a silver gray or winter white. But would you consider making them in something other than acrylic? It makes me itch! ๐Ÿ˜€ But otherwise, perfect!

  9. I am actually working on making some up for the shoppe that are a wool/acrylic blend. but I definitely will look into buying some yarn without any acrylic.
thanks so much for your input! ๐Ÿ™‚
