you know that cute little thing kids do when they have loose teeth?
blowing air through their pearly whites like they’re tiny little doors .
that was Zoe’s daily routine for the past couple months.
then, last Thursday, her top right tooth finally fell out.
but she didn’t miss a beat.
she came up with a new little number, where she used her tongue to wiggle her left top tooth that was now just dangling all alone.
this was not cute.
it was actually a cross between “hillbilly” and just plain gross.
but today her lonesome left tooth proceeded to follow suit and fall out.
now there is a cute little gap there, so when she tries to pronounce a word such as
“mississippi”
you end up with spiddle all over your face.
and if you thought her gross little numbers she likes sharing with all of us day after day were over….
think again.
now she just carries her two severed teeth in a small jar.
you can hear them rattle as she enters the room.
she carries them all around with her.
she is very proud of this event.
and she should be.
two big girl teeth will soon replace that cute little gap.
and that will be a reminder that our little girl is growing up.
