fourth in the running…

thanks for all your super ideas, ladies! I am storing them in my (well-stuffed) brain’s mainframe.
there are many of your very helpful ideas just swirling around up there but for now I am going to take a break from the kitchen long enough to collect myself.

I spent this morning re-organizing my island and some of my drawers and trying my hardest to eliminate anything!
while deeply ensued in this, my three little ones were all in the livingroom watching Toy Story.
and inbetween my“why do I still have this?” and “”this expired when?”, I began hearing snippets of “don’t touch me!”, “that’s my blanket” and finally, “ewww! Zander pooped on the couch!”

so clearly, I am neglecting my children this morning. and before CPS comes knocking at my door, I will tear myself away from the kitchen and go strip that soiled couch cusion, spend a few minutes in the laundry room and then get the kids dressed and ship them to Siberia take them over to grandmas!

I’m doing a cleaning job for my sister this afternoon and grandma said she’d watch the chittlins.

speaking of grandma….you may be wondering why this post is entitled, “fourth in the running”
well, grandma called me at 10:30 last night to inform me thank me that she is the fourth victim of our families stomach flu epidimic!

so, I guess when I bring the kids over this afternoon, she can just watch them from her porcelain throne.

  1. Pooping on the couch has cost us two whole couches. We are now looking for not one but two! I have tried everything short of stapling the diaper on the baby. Staples would probably just tickle him and make him laugh though: )

  2. oh my gosh! your boy sounds just like mine. nothing phases that child!
in my opinion ALL couches should be made so the cusions zip off and even the stuffing is washable!!!
we moms need to go into furniture design. 😉

  3. Well, it’s not poop, but Margot peed all over one of our dining room chairs last night.
