got craft?

okay. now if I expect to get anything done around here before the move, there’s some well-intended time-suckers that must be dealt with.
top of the list: my sewing machine.
and what goes directly with it…….all my fabric.
that’s right, all 10 boxes of it. hey! that job has already taken care of itself!

last weekend, my hubbie and I cleaned out the garage and filled half of it with empty packing boxes. ready to be crammed full of our stuff, when we need them.

I have been putting off boxing any of my craft things. let’s face it, once I’ve banished them to their fortress of solitude in the garage, where will I be? stuck in the house with a bunch of other stuff that needs to be packed. and where will I go for some down time at the end of a long day of packing? where will my fortress of solitude be?
exactly, in boxes in the garage!
oh well.
I have decided, however, to keep my crochet things out right where I can get to them, when I’m in need of some therapy.

that just leaves my paper crafts.
this poses a dilemma, since I am constantly making cards and the like for friends and family. what will I do if I have to go down the dreaded……..”Hallmark” aisle?
I think what I may end up having to do, is just put it all in a box with a lid, so I can still access it.

why am I fretting over such silly, minuscule things? oh wait…..these are the silly things that keep me from becoming a raging alcoholic.
or worse yet……boardum!!!
I have never been able to handle boardum. just thinking about it sends a giant “yawn” over me.
oh, no! save me from the boardum! it might get me.

this is why I never sleep, why I lie awake at night with my trusty embroidery hoop.
or crochet into the wee hours of morning.
sleep is boaring……sleep doesn’t entertain me……sleep just lies there, like a lazy git, accomplishing nothing.

yes, yes, I know, sleep is good. it recharges your batteries. refreshes your soul. rejuvenates your mind.

bullocks! who needs sleep when you got craft?
