I finally got around to crocheting something for myself. I keep seeing pics of gauntlets and think to myself, “those would be great with all my quarter length sleeve coats.”
I wanted them in black, but found some charcoal tweed that just cried out to me, “buy me, buy me, oh please , take me home.” so I did and here are my lovely gauntlets…
I altered the pattern I found by doing 7 rows of dc, and the thumb hole was ch 4, sk 4. the original pattern called for alternating hd and bobble stitches. I just didn’t much care for the look of the bobbles on the glove.had plenty of yarn left, so I made a skull cap w/a shell design. turned out pretty cute…

I bought another ball of the tweed so I can do a matching scarf to go with them. just need to find a scarf pattern that strikes my fancy. keep ya posted…
