Today’s post is sponsered by the makers of Tums…

You don’t know how hard these past 2 months have been on me.
I’ve had some exciting news to share that I had to keep to myself until today!!

Back in June, a Fashion Editor for a teen magazine notified me to ask if they could feature a pair of my earrings in one of their upcoming magazines.

After, regaining consciousness and picking myself up from off of the floor, I emailed her back and said, “Uh yeah, duh!”.
Okay, I didn’t use those exact words. But I’m sure she could sense my delirium in my email.

I am a horrible, bundle of nerves! I have a gigantic fear that either no one will be interested enough to buy my earrings or on the Polar opposite side of the spectrum, hundreds of teenage girls will be stuffing my email inbox full of requests for a pair.

Either way, I am nervous. As hell. Ooh! Excuse me. I get like this when I’m nervous. And when I’m about to ralph all over the place!

If you make it to a Hastings or Comic Book store or Newstand, check out the issue. And see if it makes you as feverish and nauseous as me.

As for myself, I’m off to make up another 30 pairs of these earrings and enjoy an afternoon Pepto-bismol Cocktail.

Belch.

  7. Thanks for all the supportive comments, girls! And making me laugh too, Sarah and Lauren!

    Sarah,
I don’t believe I’ve ever heard a lady compare any part of herself to a man’s dangly parts. 🙂

    Lauren,
HA! I thought the SAME EXACT THING! But Hey, that girl is probably somewhere right now feeling just as nervous as me over her rock’n swimsuit clad body coupled with an unflattering goofy eyeroll. 😉

  8. oh my! i totally didn’t mean it like that! i meant “like nuts” as in “like crazy”…oh dear. i’m blushing. is this like the pop vs. soda debate where they don’t use that expression on your side of the country???

  9. HA!! I guess that just goes to show where my mind is!!
    No, now I’m blushing!! 😛

  10. I wish, Sarah…I wish.
We love it when the kids DO turn in early….that means we get more sleep!!!
    🙂

  11. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. You are like a bona fide famous fashion designer now. I can now officially say I knew you when. What a dream come true, you are getting recognition for both your photography and your jewelry!

  12. That is so awesome! Your in a magazine.. so cool.

And I was thinking dangly bits too (in reference to ‘nuts’), so apparently our minds hang out in the same dingy bars. I’m slightly disappointed that we misunderstood… I was already trying to figure out where to work the phrase into my own life. Darn it.

  13. I just stumbled onto your blog this morning… love your site! Congrats on this… very exciting!

  14. How lovely for them that you share your work! That’s so terrific!
