This pattern-writing business is tricky stuff! I’ve been tweaking here and tweaking there, and I think I finally have the pattern where I want it. After 4 hours of counting stitches, unraveling and RE-counting stitches, jotting down this, scratching out that…. And let me just add, if you are working on a pattern that requires [...]       Ooooohh…..pretty. pretty. pretty.I love her! I have been sifting through the creative “floaters” drifting around in my head lately for something “Springy” or “Summery” to create for the shop. Bathing suit? Uh……no. Head band? Too……boring. Too bad I can’t get hats to sell this time of year. Ooh! Wait!!And then I pictured those lovely gals [...] Sigh…………Well, at least his shirt is buttoned.Uhh,…partly. Even better than your usual, run-of-the-mill Shortcake, this has vanilla pudding hiding out inside! I don’t even like vanilla pudding but when you bite into this cool, creamy treat, trust me, it doesn’t feel like your eating pudding. It eats like pastry cream! One important rule, however….FRESH STRAWBERRIES. ONLY. Super-dee-duper easy and crazy [...] Aaaaaaaahhhhh…….today was a heavenly preview of summer. And it found me desperately wanting. Last week entailed an emergency root canal and a surprise sinus infection, leaving my entire system drained of any vigor. Or vim, for that matter. I thrive on this weather…..a slightly balmy, 90 degree wave of sunshine draped over me. I could [...] Knowing hunting season was just around the corner, Gloria and Agnes thought it best to prepare for the inevitable. I took the boys to the park the other day because it was so lovely outside and leave it to Zach to manage to find the only little girl in the entire park that was not wearing clothes. This girl, along with one other girl who happened to be fully clothed, followed my innocent [...] Growing up, I had cats. Every morning, I awoke to this. And it’s probably a pretty big factor in why I don’t have a cat today.Besides, I have kids. They do virtually the same thing! Zach: “Mommy! That doggie’s name is Beau! We had a doggie named Beau, remember? But he died.” Me: “Yes…..” Zach: “Who killed him, mommy?” Me: “Nobody killed him sweetie, he had cancer.” Zach: (in deep thought) “Beau didn’t smoke!” I assigned a number (or 2, if you blogged about the giveaway) to each Entree and ran it through the number generator.
