haircutting with Pinocchio’s little sister…

“Zoe, what were you doing in the bathroom just now?”

“Nothing.”

“Oh really. You weren’t in there cutting your hair?”

“No.”

“Okay, I’m gonna ask you again.
Did you cut your own hair?”

“No.”

“I give up!”

  1. It’s sort of a right of passage, isn’t it? First the body art, then strange hair cuts… are you certain that they aren’t teenagers yet?
Good thing she’s cute, even with funny bangs. 🙂

  2. kalurah, how dare you accuse this sweet girl of cutting her own hair!! CLEARLY she’s been hit by an affliction which causes large chunks of bangs to shed with no apparent cause!

    oh and the scissors…uh…uhm…

    I’ve uh…gotta go!

    =)

  3. Ahna,
I really wonder at times, especially when she gets sassy and rolls her eyes. I didn’t start that until I was at least 13!

    Sarah,
Yeah, she was actually beginning to make me question my sanity for a split second-she was so SET not to tell me the truth!
she eventually fessed up after I asked, “WHY did you cut your hair?”, to which she answered, “my hair was in my eyes!”
    MYSTERY SOLVED!!! 🙂

  4. Has she tried to cut her brother’s hair yet? That’s always interesting when that happens.

  5. Galadriel,
she has never cut her bros’ hair. but BEFORE I had my blog she took the scissors to her own hair and gave herself a baby mullet!
I will have to dig out the pic. and blog about that later!
here’s a link to her last “deliberate” haircut. it’s hard to believe it was EVER that long!!

  6. This cracks me up… She sure is a cutie though. That pic on the tub! Oy!

Of course I must relate funnies in response to “the incident”… First: I did this when I was 5 the day before my school pics. My mom had been saying all day that she was going to trim my bangs for pictures. I remember specifically thinking I was “helping her out”. I cut the whole front of my hair up to the scalp… I’m going to have to find those pictures.

Funny two (except that it wasn’t so funny at the time): Emily and a friend cut each other’s hair at pre-school & the other mom accused me of (and I quote) Not teaching my child “proper scissor ettiquitte”. Aaarrgh!

I’m certain that our parents have put a curse over us to make our kids do every naughty thing we did and then some.

  7. Bari,
    “proper scissor etiquette”???
at pre-school age, you’re lucky if they don’t run themselves through with the scissors. let alone expecting them to know HOW to use them!
    etiquette???
    whatever.
I’m sure you rolled your eyes, just as I am doing right now!
I bet that mom has her daughter enrolled in Beauticians school in the next few years! 😉
    am I carrying on?
    I am.
    sorry.
    but REALLY!
and YES, my daughter must have got this from me because I, too lopped my little sister’s waist-long hair off when I was about 5!
