the kindness of strangers…

I was just recently directed to one of the most captivating blogs I have ever read. it’s down to earth, gritty and candid memoirs of a housewife and mother of four.
Confessions of a Pioneer Woman.
the woman has me down on all fours, pounding the floor, with tears rolling down my face. so much of what she writes about feels so familiar to me, apart from the life on a ranch part, of course.
the closest I’ve ever come to ranch life is potty training two boys at once! (I’ve never shoveled so much poo in my life!)
I discovered on her blog, that she occasionally holds “name that photo” contests, and rewards the chosen winner with the supreme of all prizes! from hundred dollar gift certificates to espresso machines down to the current prize, her beloved Nikon D70. (hummina, hummina)
what a kind woman this must be, to give of what she has. she has been writing in her blog for a mere year and she has oodles and oodles of adoring fans. it’s a special thing to give to people whom you only see through black on white text.
this whole “blog world” is new to me, but I can see how giving and receiving kind words to one another through the vast space that is the internet, could give your weighed down heart a little lift.
if you get a chance, mosey on over to Ree’s lovely little blog and take a firsthand look at the kindness of strangers.
